Hi Steve,
Thanks for the post on my Facebook page. As you may have guessed by now, I hardly ever go there. My daughter (now a cello performance major in Cleveland - with 3 YouTube videos) got me started on Facebook a few years ago but I'm generally way too busy keeping up with my high school orchestra program (160 strings + 5 guitars) to do much Facebooking.
I'm also the current head of the orchestra division of the Illinois Music Educators Association.
Up until about 5 years ago, I was still doing lots of playing and some conducting (2 operas, 25+ musicals, lots of school work). I was principal timpani in Elgin (a fine regional orchestra) for 20 years, my own jazz & rock band for years...
I'd love to be doing more playing (& intend to get back to it when I retire in 2 years) but the ed thing has been lots of fun and very satisfying personally, professionally, and financially.
Hey, your website looks great. I'd love to hear what you've been up to so I'll be ordering some CDs. Please let me know if/when you get up to the Chicago area. It would be nice to get together. Perhaps we could have you come as a guest performer at my school as part of a trip to the area?
Again, good to hear from you and hope to see you soon.

Hi Stephan,
Don't know if you remember me or my kids Rachel and Sean (Stan Harris - kids).
Still living in Dallas and ren across your info...do you ever come to preform in Dallas?
We come to Tennessee routinely...my family all live there.
Sean (about to turn 21) is actually in Clarksville right now and should be back in a couple of weeks, after that he will be joining the Marines...he actually learned and plays the Violine all the way through 3 -12 grades...it think with he decided after watching Stan throught out his music career, he opted not to go the music route (I'm loved hearing him play, but I happy he didn't choose to follow music). He plays key boards and guitar too.
Rachel is 26 and absolutely beautiful...she's never married and dates a Young man that graduated from West Point and they seem to be pretty serious, so my fingers are crossed.
My husband and I live in Dallas and he runs a Cafe called Norma's Cafe - one in Oak Cliff and one in North Dallas.
If you are ever in Dallas, we would love to come hear you/see you.
Take care...hope all is well with Linda too.

Hi Stephan! Amazing you and the music you create are! I wondered, after standing separate from you and LInda this morning at the airport...what was I thinking? I was thinking "I'll sit next you on the plane... I"ll run into you after the flight". And now I'm thinking, "what a missed opportunity". You two are delightful and I look forward to crossing paths again. I'm joining your email list. I want my daughter to get to see you play. I want to hear you in person. Beautiful.

Steve,
You may remember my brother(Paul) and me from Mankato. I was a good friend of your brother Jim and hung out with him for some time. Some of my best nights were in Mankato listening to you and whatever band you were playing in, however I especially loved Good Thunder. Paul and I both live in Montana. I work for the Butte-Silver Bow local government and Paul has been working on ranches since 1973. We live about 35 miles from each other. Sure is great to hear your violin music again. I still remember the first time I heard you play Orange Blossom Special in the Walnut Room at Michael's. Blew me away. What is Jim doing these days, last I knew he was in the Northeast, but that was several years ago. Again, great to hear your music and your playing is as great as ever.
